Plan Your System

Event-I is a scalable system designed to accommodate the individual needs of your
business. Our team of experienced multi-media network engineers will help you build
the ideal system from targeting your critical needs to system training.

System Considerations
Event-I is meant to help your event run more smoothly not take up valuable time and resources. When planning your system you'll want to consider a few things:

  • How many attendees are expected?
  • How many sessions are being held?
  • How many locations are required?

Command Center
Your "Command Center" requires at least one computer per person and an Internet connection (broadband if available). Because Event-I is web-based this location can be on-site or in a remote location.

  • Is on-site administration necessary?
  • Is there space for a Command Center?
  • Is Internet connectivity available?

Personnel Considerations
Once you have a general idea of the system you can estimate staffing requirements. There are two aspects to consider here.

System Administrators
System Administrators are in charge of updating the content during the event. Although Event-I is easy to use you have a certain level of responsibility to your attendees so you'll want to assign someone with computer experience and decent communication skills.

Event Monitor
Event Monitors are used through the facility to gather and relay information to the primarily in charge of setting up the system and updating the content during the event. If your event uses security personel or room monitors they can pull double duty and serve as your event monitors. You'll probably want at least one person walking throughout the event to do spot checks.
